In its reporting the Miami Herald spoke with many people who lost family members to COVID-19 in Florida nursing homes. They paint a bleak and alarming picture of the lack of proper safety precautions at the facilities. Even after several months, too many nursing homes are not putting the proper protocols in place.
Reason why I visit to keep up her needs. Feeding, change diaper, request Rx necessary for any illness . The food is horrible not just my mom complains but others in dinning area. Wheelchairs smell awful from urine.
Ponce Plaza Nursing & Rehabilitation Center
From the outside, it looked like an old building. It is obvious they have maintained that building very well. It is clean and very spacious everywhere. Many seniors and their families use some form of financial assistance to help them pay for nursing care.
We haven’t had any problems with the staff. They give her a bath and stuff like that, and the place is clean. I think that we’re getting our money’s worth because they’re taking good care of her. Floridean Nursing Home was very convenient for my sister and for me. I visited the place, it looked OK, and it is close to where I live.

My mom was there for 1 month in rehab back in August.
Monday-Friday doctors give proper care. It’s predominantly a Hispanic/Spanish. Overall I do recommend this residence. It is 2 minutes away from my home. I think there’s only 3 private rooms. The TV is on all day in dining/living room area as it’s only 1.
Harmony Health Center
Food was average, assistants and nurses were working as best as they could. The nurses listened to my concerns and communicated back to a doctor. Never meet the doctor or know if he ever passed by. However, the were a couple of people passing by and asking questions. West Gables Health Care Center is centrally located, so it’s not too far away.
In fact, national news aggregators picked up on that vibe, and the Drudge Report even linked it with “cover up” in the headline. Any objective interpretation of that headline leads the reader to believe that Florida’s governor is actively engaged in some sort of suppression of bad news relating to deaths at nursing homes. The comparisons below are based on the average cost of semiprivate rooms in nursing home facilities in Miami. When compared with the national average, Miami’s nursing homes are over $1,300 more per month. The city’s average cost is much closer to the Florida state average, which is $8,669. I was at Riviera Health Resort since January 1st and I have been very pleasure with the health care service.
Palm Beach Gardens
Her bed was not working, tray with cold food was sitting next to her and no one sat her up to eat it. She was sitting in a compode for over one hour before she had to called them to get her back into bed. I thought as the days progressed things would get better but no only worse. Yesterday it was to be around 11am but they showed up after 2pm.
All the personal have been very helpful and kindness to me. I really recommended this place a 100% for recovery ❤️🩹 after any procedure a quite and calm place in all the ways . My mom is in the Hampton Court Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

They’re pretty good, pretty decent. The staff is relatively good, everybody can pick up the phone and call you when they need to. They have a salon, a gym, they have everything. They moved there two months ago.
