The comfortable climate and waterfront views are likely one of the top reasons seniors choose to live in the Miami area. With the COVID-19 outbreak continuing to affect communities across the state, it is clear that nursing homes and long term care centers need to do more to protect their most vulnerable residents. The Florida Department of Health reports that 545,040 COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in the state as of August 12th. The respiratory disease poses an extreme, potentially life-threatening risk to Florida’s most vulnerable residents, especially those who live in nursing homes and long-term care facilities. There are a couple of big problems with this story, the first of which is the implication of a cover up. Any objective interpretation of that headline leads the reader to believe that Governor Ron DeSantis is engaged in some sort of suppression of bad news relating to deaths at nursing homes.
Reason why I visit to keep up her needs. Feeding, change diaper, request Rx necessary for any illness . The food is horrible not just my mom complains but others in dinning area. Wheelchairs smell awful from urine.
West Gables Health Care Center
Monday-Friday doctors give proper care. It’s predominantly a Hispanic/Spanish. Overall I do recommend this residence. It is 2 minutes away from my home. I think there’s only 3 private rooms. The TV is on all day in dining/living room area as it’s only 1.
The main options available are Medicare, Medicaid, and veterans benefits. These programs can be complicated, especially when it comes to benefit terms. Below, we give a brief overview of how these programs may be used towards paying for skilled nursing care. I was at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Miami. It was super clean and super new. I’m going to give superlative ratings on Encompass.
Miami Herald misleads about nursing home deaths, Florida cases remain relatively low
My mother was in The Nursing Center at Mercy for about a month. For the most part, the staff was professional, caring, and accommodating. There were some assistants who kind of had an attitude and didn’t really want to help as much.

His staff was also really friendly and actually got to know me as well. Mike Pike handled my auto accident case. He was aggressive with negotiations and getting the best result for the facts of my case. His staff was also very helpful and organized. I would recommend Pike and Lustig, highly.
The 10 Best Nursing Homes in Miami, FL for 2022
They’re pretty good, pretty decent. The staff is relatively good, everybody can pick up the phone and call you when they need to. They have a salon, a gym, they have everything. They moved there two months ago. This guide includes information about the cost of different types of senior care in Miami, as well as resources that are available for older adults living in the Miami area.

We haven’t had any problems with the staff. They give her a bath and stuff like that, and the place is clean. I think that we’re getting our money’s worth because they’re taking good care of her. Floridean Nursing Home was very convenient for my sister and for me. I visited the place, it looked OK, and it is close to where I live.
West Palm Beach Office
They truly do work hard for you and we had a better outcome than originally expected and we can't thank them enough for how well they represented my husband and I. They were also very compassionate towards us and our case and they took it on as if it was their own and as if it affected their own family as it did ours, which touched our hearts. Absolutely amazing team and very aggressive.
The people looked like they’re well cared for. I had an opportunity to see and talk to some of the residents, and they were quite satisfied. One of the ladies there gave us a tour of the different area of the place.
There is a small garden area which is nice. The hospital sent my husband to Miami Jewish Health. Surprisingly, the place was very nice, and I’m impressed with the care that they’re giving him. He’s only been there a couple of days now. They feed him, and he seems to be resting well. He became very unresponsive last week and ended up at the hospital to the hospice center at Miami Jewish Health.

That, too isn’t supported by the facts. Why rush to hand your enemy a loaded gun he can use against you? Who can blame the governor for not being in a hurry to have the Miami Herald publish yet another overly sensationalized headline that isn’t supported by the facts? That’s seems to be what happened here. The girl had been admitted to the home only 12 hours before.
His objections were well made and well placed at trial and frustrated the rhythm of the opposing counsel and gave him alot of credibility with the judge. Although I lthink that facts were on our side and that we would have won the case anyway, having Mr Pike gave me a sense of confidence that I would not have had with different attorney. Even the judge complimented Mr pike on well he performed during trial, several times I might add. I would absolutely recommend him.
I hired Michael Pike to represent me in a litigation matter. He is one of the best litigators I have seen, and I have seen many over the years. He was prepared, thorough and his knowledge of procedure far surpassed that of opposing counsel.
Daniel the head attorney in my mom's case was phenomenal as well as Mr. Pike and Christie . They all went above and beyond as far as I'm concern they are the best. Mike Pike handled my injury case and did and excellent job! He is patient and a strong advocate! As an example, the North Lake Care Center failed to require residents to self isolate after leaving the facility for outside treatment.

The people are nice and they offer the services that my mom needs. I get a lot of calls in terms of my mom’s progress and treatment. They have a recreational hour where they take the residents to a room for a gathering so they can talk and get to know other residents. They offer different activities for holidays and she says the food is fine.
